14TH CENTURY HOTEL IN COLCHESTER

My wife and I enjoyed a great New Years Party last night. The atmosphere, food and DJ fantastic. We had an overnight stay and after a great nights sleep rose to a terrific full English breakfast. Thanks to Ricardo and his brilliant team for looking after us. Tony and Sian with great support from Misa, Joanna, Becky to name just a few. We will be back next year! Ian and Julia

The Rose & Crown is an excellent hotel for a stay in Colchester. Within 15 minutes walk of the centre it is perfectly placed to see all the attractions. The hotel itself is in a old 14th century coaching inn and has a lovely feel to it. The rooms are well maintained and staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent and cooked freshly for you. Very nice bar area and they even have real ale. Would definitely recommend.

My wife and I had our Christmas Day lunch at the Rose & Crown and could not have had a more welcoming visit. The staff were very friendly and one of our waiters Robin, was very attentive and polite, although to be fair they were all lovely. The food was excellent and the character of the old building made for a memorable Xmas day.

Stayed here for 2 nights (not the first time we have stayed). Wonderful hotel, full of character, very clean, the staff are excellent, very helpful and friendly, we were particularly helped by Sue and Stefan

Rose & Crown, Colchester. Great place to stay. Excellent restaurant, excellent service by very friendly staff. good size secure hotel car park. Very clean and tidy rooms. Good access to other areas of Essex. Definitely a great place to stay. Stayed twice and another date already booked.

Had a great night watching the amazing Laura Butler's Amy Winehouse tribute act in a lovely old (possibly haunted!) hotel. The 3 course meal that was included was exceptional, ALL the staff were amazing and attentive to our needs, couldn't recommend enough. Can't wait to go back 5 star.
